Belvedere Vodka

Belvedere Vodka was created in Poland and introduced in 1996. Belvedere is solely distilled from one type of grain, the Dakowskie Zlote rye grain. This fact differentiates Belvedere vodka from other cheaper vodkas.

Belvedere vodka was initially distilled in Zyardow, a suburb of Warsaw, Poland. Currently, Belvedere vodka is made under license by numerous distilleries. The distillers of Belvedere vodka state that their practices and methods of producing the vodka were evolved from over 600 years of study. The Belvedere vodka is exported throughout the world.

Belvedere vodka is marketed and promoted as having a longer distillation process than most other vodkas. The lengthier distillation process of the vodka is frequently stated to make Belvedere vodka much smoother for the consumer.

Belvedere Bottle

The unique design of the Belvedere bottle showcases the Belweder Palace. In polish Palac Belwederski, the palace was the former home of Poland's Marshal Jozel Pilsudski. This is where the Belvedere name was derived. The palace was also the first home of Lech Walesa. Walesa moved to the Namiestnikowski Palace to finish his only term as the president of Poland. Belvedere vodka does not have a screw of top, however has a replaceable cork. This feature is common among many polish vodka brands.

Belvedere in Pop Culture

Many hip hop artists including the Game of Interscope records have given shout outs or free advertisements to Belvedere vodka by rapping about Belvedere in their songs. On Game's second album, the Doctor's Advocate, he refers to his favorite drink as Snapple flavor Go Bananas and Belvedere vodka. Also rapper Jay Z gives several mentions to Belvedere vodka in his album entitled The Dynasty: Roc La Familia.
