Dos Lunas was first founded in 2005 by Richard Poe, an El Paso-based businessman with a true passion for tequila. “My goal was to create the most refined, smoothest tequila in the world,” says Poe.

Bottled and distilled in the heart of Jalisco, in Guadalajara, Dos Lunas tequilas are naturally harvested from mature 100% Blue Agave plants and are all-natural, with no artificial coloring or chemical additives. All Dos Lunas products are originally fermented using natural yeast, a process that takes significantly or up to five times longer and is rarely found in today’s world of spirits currently. Dos Lunas Silver (priced at $44.99) and Dos Lunas Reposado (priced at $49.99) were released in 2006, and the latter was subsequently awarded the gold medal in the illustrious International Review of Spirits competition in Chicago, Illinois later that year. A fourth member of the Dos Lunas Tequila portfolio, Dos Lunas Añejo, will debut in 2008.
