Skyy Vodka

History

Produced by SKYY Spirits of San Francisco in California, the SKYY Vodka is perhaps one of the purest Vodka’s of the world. It comes in a stylish cobalt blue bottle with a reflective and inviting foil label. It was originally made in 1988 by chemist Maurice Kanbar. Kanbar was worried about the problems among the drinking community regarding to headaches and hangovers. He was determined to find a solution for this problem. With his extensive research he gathered that alcohol related headaches were the cause of presence of certain impurities known as congeners which made the spirit unpalatable and causes hangovers and headaches.

Process

SKYY Vodka is made with a view to reduce these congeners level in the spirit to the minimum possible and as such goes through four column distillation method and three step filtration system. These are made from finest grains, and pure distilled water and with this innovative distillation and filtration system it is able to remove the impurities –‘congeners’ from the spirit and reduce their level to bare minimum. As a result a very pure, fresh and smooth tasting Vodka is formed which is practically congener free.

After a four column distillation process at technically controlled temperatures, the Skyy Vodka also passes through 3 filters of charcoal, rough cellulose and fine cellulose in order to remove those impurities which may have escaped the process of distillation. In this way it is doubly ensured that there are no impurities left behind in the spirit. After distillation and filtration each of the batches is again checked individually for a smooth fine taste.

The chief products of the SKYY Vodka are SKYY berry which is a blend of all natural berry flavors such as Raspberry, Black Berry and Blue Berry. Another major popular product is the SKYY Citrus which is made from all natural citrus flavors such as lime, orange, tangerine and grapefruit. The SKYY Vanilla is a vanilla flavored drink which uses Madagascar Vanilla beans and Amaretto flavor in its making. SKYY Vodka and all its products can also be used for blending with other fruit based juices and soda based drinks to form exciting cocktails which are extremely popular among party people and specially amongst the fairer sex as they find it sweet and less strong in taste than the natural rum vodka category drinks.
