Herradura Tequila

Herradura was created by Feleciano Romo in 1870. Herraduras tradition goes way back to the end of the 19th century when Feleciano purchased a piece of land 35 kilometers from Guadalajara that grows fine blue agave. Cultivating the land while acquiring a local distilling facility, Herradura started its journey towards greatness because of the blue Weber agave that grows in the land. Since they grow their own agave, Francisco Romo slowly built a tequila empire and in the process, he created only one of the world’s best tequila. Passing the leadership of the company from one Romo to another, Herradura is now managed by the 5th generation of Romos. Since it was established, it has never flinched once in the eyes of other tequilas. Time has been their number one asset as people loves tradition that goes with fine flavor.

There are so many variations of Herradura Tequialas. They are basically divided into two groups: the original Herradura Tequials and the El Jimador.

Herradura Tequilas are the original tequilas. They basically differ in their ages. The best and the most notable among the Herraduras is the Tequila Seleccion Suprema. Created in 1990, Herradura has painstakingly made this tequila using traditional practice of Tequila with one thing that can’t be bought with anything – time. For 49 months, this tequila is rested in brand new oak barrel. Using the best of everything, including their oldest pot to ensure purity, tequila has never been better.

El Jimador on the other hand was the phenomenal drink of Mexico. It’s basically the number one tequila in Mexico. Using the modern way of making fine tequilas, the smooth finish of this tequila is nothing less then perfect. You’ll be undoubtedly tasting the blue gave in each of the El Jimador tequila. Just one sip is all you need to convince you how it became the number one tequila in whole of Mexico. Combining the El Jimador tequila with El Jimador Sangrita, it’s a combination that’s heavenly for the platelets.
